How We Compare Providers

What our ratings measure, where every figure comes from, and how we handle missing or limited data.

Structural warranty is a significant purchase, so the numbers behind a comparison matter. This page explains exactly how Warranty Market builds its provider comparison, what each figure can and cannot tell you, and the commercial arrangements that fund the site. Nothing on this page is a substitute for reading a provider's own policy documents.

    What we compare

We compare UK structural warranty providers on the information that is publicly available: their third-party customer review ratings, the review platform those ratings come from, the number of reviews behind each rating, advertised starting prices, published quote turnaround times, and the type of cover offered.

Each provider listing shows one overall star rating. That rating is taken from a third-party review platform and is linked directly to its source so you can read the underlying reviews yourself.

    Where the data comes from

Customer ratings and review counts are collected from publicly available third-party review platforms, principally Reviews.co.uk and Trustpilot. Every rating on this site links to the source page it came from.

Starting prices, quote turnaround times and coverage details are taken from providers' own websites and published materials. Quote times describe what each provider advertises or what our checks observed at the time of collection; they are not a guarantee of the service you will receive.

    How ratings are shown

We display each provider's average rating exactly as published on its source platform, alongside the number of reviews it is based on. We do not blend ratings from different platforms into a single number, because review volumes, verification methods and rating scales differ between platforms.

Where a provider has no published rating, or the number of reviews is too small to be meaningful, we say so rather than showing a score. A rating based on a handful of reviews is far less reliable than one based on hundreds, so treat small samples with caution.

    What we cannot verify

Service details such as price bands, quote turnaround times and internal service scores are Warranty Market editorial assessments or provider-published claims. They are not independently audited. Where we have no published evidence for a figure, we label it as not verified instead of inventing a number.

Policy terms, exclusions, insurer arrangements and lender acceptance vary by product and project. Always confirm the details of any policy directly with the provider before committing.

    Independence and referral fees

Warranty Market Limited is an independent research platform. We are not an insurance broker or adviser, and we have no affiliation with any provider listed on this site.

We may earn a referral fee if you click through from this site to a provider's website. Referral arrangements do not determine the order of results or the ratings shown: providers are ranked by their published third-party review ratings, and every rating links to its public source.

If we ever receive free products, payment or other benefits connected to content on this site, we will disclose it on the page concerned.

    Limitations

Review data reflects the experiences of customers who chose to leave a review, which is not a representative sample of all customers. Providers can and do change their pricing, staff, processes and service levels.

We re-check provider data on a regular basis and correct errors when we find them. The data on this site was last checked in September 2026.

    Corrections and questions

If you believe any figure on this site is out of date or wrong, tell us and we will check it against the public source. Providers may also send corrections with evidence at any time.
